COVID-19

Special Booking Policy During COVID-19

During the outbreak of COVID-19 we have made it easier to change your bookings.

Part A - We offer a full refund (both deposit and balance payment, less any potential international bank transfer fees) if the destination country's restrictions on travel make the expedition unfeasible. This applies to all bookings made.

Part B - If you wish to change your booking, for whatever reason, you can do so up until 60 days before the start of the expedition - no questions asked. You will be allowed to transfer funds paid to any of our upcoming tours. After the 60-day limit, refunds or changes are not possible.

Please note that travel insurance is mandatory on all our expeditions. We recommend that you make sure that this insurance will cover you for a trip refund in case you are unable to join the expedition due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

You are welcome to get in touch if you have any questions about this.

COVID-19 Workshop Rules

Preparing for the Expedition or Tour

  • Kindly be vigilant against COVID-19. Follow all recommendations issued by your country's health authority.

COVID-19 Test

  • Depending on the mode of travel, you may be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test. This may also be required for you to re-enter your home country.

Travelling to the Workshop

  • Kindly be vigilant while travelling. Check for special policies and procedures in advance with your airline, airports, and hotels.

During the Expedition or Tour

  • At the beginning of the tour, we will discuss what protocols we will be implementing

  • As much as possible, social distance will be maintained. Kindly note that for some workshops this is not feasible to a great extent as we may be up trekking in the mountains, staying in mountain huts with dormitories, getting a transfer to a trail head in a bus, etc.

  • Hand sanitiser should be used regularly through the tour

Lodging

  • As far as is possible, guests will be in single rooms, and a single supplement will be charged. Kindly note that this is not always possible in many of the mountain huts that we lodge in.

If Someone Shows Symptoms of COVID-19

  • If anyone should show symptoms of COVID-19, they will be isolated from the group and actions will be taken to get access to medical attention and testing. This decision rests with the expedition leader but any costs associated with this will be at the expense of the guest (kindly note that traveller's insurance is mandatory).
